Pregnancy Loss Skills and Support Group

July 13, 2021 by Sharon Humphrey

This small, intimate support group is for women who have experienced
miscarriage, involuntary abortion, stillbirth, or early infant loss. The
hope is that participants will feel connected and supported through this
group as they begin to understand and adjust to the many challenging
feelings that develop once a pregnancy or infant is lost.

Strict confidentiality is maintained and participation in the discussion is
completely optional. Sometimes, just being with others who have had a
similar experience can be comforting.
Losing a baby is an isolating and devastating experience. We support
bereaved mothers by naming the incredible challenges they are
experiencing, knowing that this group is one of the few places they can
speak the truth about the depth of their emotions and the details of their
experience.

Dating Group: Getting Back Out There with Confidence!

March 30, 2021 by Susan Regan

Figuring out how to find a new relationship (that actually works) is going to be a bit of a learning curve in and of itself. So, why not do it around others who are doing the same thing? Not only will you get some relatable support from your groupmates, but you’ll probably also share a laugh or two with others who are fumbling into this new place alongside you! I really want you to have a successful relationship, so let’s tackle this together!

Who is this for?

If you’ve been thinking about your dating career and how you are going to help yourself through the process, this group is for you.

Dating can be such an intimidating process — especially if you’ve been in a relationship for so long and haven’t gotten yourself out there in decades.

Are you finding yourself still too attached to memories or fantasies of your ex? Maybe they’ll change-maybe you’ll go back-maybe you’ll just listen to a sad love song or watch a love story and wish that you could go back instead of move forward. Maybe you were angry, felt like things were unfair, or you wanted to move on for a long time — but now that you’re here, it’s hard to be proactive about meeting a new someone. You may find that you’re set in your ways. Because you haven’t dated for years, perhaps you don’t know where to start, and maybe, you’re even embarrassed to show your dating profile to anyone.

Are you finding it difficult to meet the right person?

Maybe it’s even just the littlest thing … like knowing what kind of text response is going to get more engagement, instead of getting you ghosted? Are you having a hard time not taking things personally? And, what if things start going right; are you even ready for intimacy?

This is a group exclusively about looking where you’ve been, the relationship trauma that has occurred, and how you are now going to get behind moving forward in your life.

Co-Parenting Support Group

March 25, 2021 by Susan Regan

Co-Parenting can be very isolating and challenging as you navigate the new world of household transitions and seemingly bigger compromises.

Are you struggling with your co-parent?

  • Have you been trying to parent your kids separately in two separate homes?
  • Do you have different parenting styles that really create stress and conflictual conversations every time you talk?
  • Is your child feeling the tension?
  • Are you in a living nightmare where you feel like you’re never going to get away from your ex because you have to parent together?

Perhaps it’s time to join a group where you can learn different strategies to overcome these challenges — with others, who are going through them as well.

Who is it for?

This is an online ongoing group for people who are going through a separation, while learning how to co-parent where there may be huge parenting-style differences.

Discussions in the Group are topic-oriented and topic-suggested. I will be presenting both psychological themes and strategies to deal with difficult co-parenting situations (e.g., Are/were you married to a narcissist? What if you hate your ex’s extended family? Is your parenting style different and are you seeing those differences making your kids feel insecure? How do you deal with your kid not wanting to go to your ex’s home?).
