Balancing Safety and Pleasure | Dual & Multiple Relationships | Making ethical decisions when personal expression and professional boundaries collide

Screen Shot 2021-02-10 at 8.42.44 AM

Dual relationships often put terror into clinicians minds. Clinicians are forewarned that dual relationships post dangerous threats to our clients’ safety, yet little is said about the ethics of “multiple relationships” in daily living, especially in sex positive communities. Even more so when a clinician is kink-identified.

In TASHRA’s February’s skills-based workshop, we will examine applicable professional codes on dual and multiple Relationships and practice ethical decision-making models that strengthen clinician’s skills in clarifying, navigating, and boundary setting that protect both clinician and clients from harm.

Course Instructors: Anna Randall, DHS, LCSW, MPH and Carrie Jameson, MA, LCPC
