Being a group leader is challenging! This workshop will focus on Countertransference issues common to the group leader through exploration and dialogue, including: 1) self critique; 2) confusion about what occurs in group; 3) struggles with group norms; 4) attacks and criticisms directed towards the leader and the leader’s relationship to conflict; and 5) DEI topics.
Attendees will be encouraged to connect with their own interpersonal struggles. Suggestions will be outlined by both the workshop leader and participants, what methods have been useful (and not) in working with countertransference. Exploration will also include positive and poignant instances of countertransference.
