Jennifer Larsh (she/her): 2023 Graduate Candidate
Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, Expressive Arts
Early Adolescence, ages 10-13, is becoming more and more difficult for Black children and their parents to navigate. This presentation will outline some of the physical and environmental factors that are increasing the difficulty of this developmental stage and then introduce activities that parents can do with their children (or for themselves). The activities will help to strengthen emotional awareness and regulation, improve interpersonal communication, develop a better understanding of relationship dynamics, and support stress reduction.

Ashley Kellem (she/her): 2023 Graduate Candidate
Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, Integral Counseling
