Cecilia Ussher (she/her): 2024 Graduate Candidate
Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, Somatic Concentration
Through the lens of Pan-Africanism this workshop explores the possibilities of moving from words to purpose-driven, values-based business practices. How could cooperative business structures shift the sole proprietor practice model? How could cooperative private practices cultivate economic sustainability for clinicians and the clients they serve?

Kenyona Young (she/her): 2024 Graduate Candidate
Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, Somatic Concentration
The purpose of Sawubona is in the rediscovery of the value of WE in honoring the I. It is the deepest of connections, where we hold the highest value. It is in cultivating and holding relational space where the collective is greater than and I. This work is for Black, Indigenous, Aboriginal, and bodies of POC women and femmes, who live with the wounds of America’s dreams.

Tracie Williams (she/her): 2023 Graduate Candidate
Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, Community Mental Health
Envisioning a reformation and renaissance of psychedelic healing practices within the black community. Where, when, and how were these practices embraced, demonized, and displaced? How do we return to what is “ours” for the purpose of healing mind, body and spirit?
