Latoyia Griffin Piper (she, her, hers pronouns) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Group Psychotherapist. She obtained her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology, with a Minor in Childhood Development at Kentucky State University. She later obtained her Masters Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Family Mental Health at Syracuse University, as well as an advanced certification in Women’s Studies. She began and later completed the process of Certification as a Group Psychotherapist. She completed her practicum studies at The University of Rochester and Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. She is a Social Work Board authorized supervisor for those seeking clinical licensure in Social Work (LCSW), an authorized supervisor for those seeking Certification as Group Psychotherapists (CGP).

High School Girls Group
Our youth are experiencing stressors including academics, continued social distancing, compromised sense of self and esteem, relationships, perfectionism, depression and increased anxiety. This group aims at providing support, community, coping skills, psychoeducation and more. Very valuable to high achieving persons, it allows a space to process the stressors and increased isolation of self. Group is offered on Friday’s 6-7:20 pm via Telehealth/ Telemedicine.

Lyndsey Nelson
Lyndsey specializes in working with youth at school and in private sessions. She uses a strength-based modality, as well as play therapy and cognitive behavioral techniques and interventions. Lyndsey works with teens and children to increase their emotional regulation and social skills to cope with feelings of anxiety, balance the pressure to achieve at school, effectively communicate with their parents and thrive emotionally. Before founding Life Light Counseling, she had the pleasure of working with Beacon Wellness Team as a therapist to gifted teens and children, as well as many years providing counseling within our Public and Private Schools, Campbell Union School District and The Harker School. She received her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
When not in the office she enjoys time with her son and family. She loves the beach, museums, travel and dance.
