As a client-centered therapist, I take a collaborative approach to provide strengths-based and culturally conscious support that is personalized to your unique circumstances, and grounded in an atmosphere of safety and trust. I offer you compassion, curiosity, and non-judgment, and recognize the courage it takes to enter therapy in search of growth and change.
You possess an innate capacity to grow and heal from painful, difficult, and traumatic experiences. My approach includes compassionate exploration of your experiences and circumstances in order to help you restore balance to the ways you interact with yourself, with others, and your overall way of being in the world. With gentle curiosity, I will guide you in getting to know those emotions, thoughts, and reactions that arise in response to internal or external factors—and in learning how to access the core qualities of a Self that is present within all of us. There is a hopeful new chapter that awaits you, and it would be an honor to guide you in your process.
My experience includes offering individual and group therapy, collaborative family support, and advocacy at a K-8 school; providing art-based studio groups for women in transitional housing; and an art therapy and trauma service project to offer support to Nicaraguan refugees in Costa Rica. I seek regular trainings relevant to Internal Family Systems (IFS), trauma, neuroscience, best practices in art therapy, cross-cultural issues, telehealth considerations, and resilience approaches.
